[font=comic sans ms][size=12pt]I was up near Spanish Fort today and went to BPS and took a look at the handgun selection; they were wiped out. Might have had a couple dozen spread out across the top shelf and then shelf after shelf of empty space next to all the price signs. I was looking for another 1911 .45ACP and they only had one Remington @$700.
I went by to visit #r, but he wasn’t there and they didn’t have the big table of .99 sabiki rigs like last year.
I did find a SS 1911 Ruger at another place for $779, but I’m so cheap I’m gonna wait a while. ::)

Have you checked at Cambells hardware in Robertsdale? That is where I bought my ATI 1911. Best $450 I have spent in a while. Great shooting pistol for the price. Only downsides are I need to change the ejector and extractor. It slings the shells straight up and most of the time into my forhead and it dings the shell so it can't be reloaded. But I can fix that for around $60+/-, which is still cheaper than any other 1911. The slide on it fits flush with the frame, which is better than the Taurus and Remingtons I looked at. They all had a slight spclace between the frame. Also like that it is a commander style. Makes it a little easier to carry.
