Must have hit a cold pocket here at my hunting camp in Clarke Co. , AL. Went to start up the fireplace and the flames kept freezing and falling off the ends of the matchsticks---had to use a butane lighter. Swept up the little flame buds carefully, except one got caught in the broom and caused a minor conflagration when it thawed out.
Great Lakes for my boot camp, BEE, a school and c school. I spent right around two years there. I was present for the lowest temperature on record in the Chicago area in January, 1985.
As a kid from the Caribbean Islands who had never been further north than the Smokies, it was tough for a while.
I heard that them thieving, malnourished, skinny-assed meth/crack heads can't stand the cold.Quote:
