Thanks! I can't wait to get back down to Gulf Shores, made the mistake of doing Florida last year instead. My kids keep asking when we are going back. Looking forward to fishing GSP as well. Went fishing East this summer in Charleston and their pier was crap compared to GSP.
Nim, I'm sure many will argue but many piers are crap compared to GSP. Of course the fishermen there make up 99.9% of the pier's reputation. IMOQuote:

I think the four seasons pier is two feet higher above the water. It makes. Big difference. I talked with my sister yesterday afternoon late. She was out on the pier and several of the regulars were fishing but doing very poorly. I arrive next week and hope fishing is better by then.
Plus being shorter, it is in shallower water and the big storm waves have broken before they get to it.Quote:

By the look of all the debris stacked up and the flattened phragmites, surge was pretty bad here!
