Ideal shop size
So, since there's not a lot of fishing discussion going on and I'm hoping to build a shop for myself this spring/summer, i thought I'd consult the forum. What size is your shop/polebarn/outbuilding (if you have one)? Is it ideal, or do you wish it was bigger or smaller?
I need a space where i can work on vehicles/lawn mowers etc, wood/metal projects, process deer and clean fish so that the lady of the house doesnt have to bear witness. Lol. Im also likely to add a small 6x6x8 walk in cooler since deer season here happens when its too warm to hang them outside.

Don't have any, but always need bigger what I do have.... my dad always said I needed a big pole barn .... even the 20ft over seas container at the cabin is really not big enough , but sure has helped not needing to transport the atv every time ..... and extra space for other stuff
go as big as you can, or make it so you could add on if needed down the roadBill..............

I am wanting to build a 20x40 shop when time/money allows. Would seem to be the minimum to do what I want to do, which is similar to you minus the walk-in cooler. Would be a good space to work on vehicles, mowers, atv, etc. Also give me space for welding and wood-working projects. Let me know what you decide and send us pics!

It doesn't matter how big a workshop/tractorshed/storage building I have, it's always too small.

That's the trouble with "Having it all"----you gotta have a place to put it all, too.

I do seem to accumulate things. So a bigger shop is probably better than a small one. I keep playing with the idea of a small tractor and brush hog even though i only have 10 acres to play around on.
That is interesting, but surely an oversight? The ByWater-Beachside has a Facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/ByWaterBeachside I asked them what the hours will be after Labor Day...
