Me Maw gave us Spring weather last weekend- 72 degrees yesterday. Ole Man Winter came back thru today wit severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings with him and 51 degrees now. That should be enough to give all the fish in Smith Lake lock-jaw for several days.
Don't now about everybody else but Brother-in-law and myself got into the spots in the fog Sunday Morning for an hour or so and must have put 30-40 in the boat. They weren't giants but we let them all go hopefully to be caught again. Best day in along time that either of us has had on Smith.
Went back to Smith Lake again this morning and caught a nice stripe that would go around 8 lbs. Later on got to looking for Shad and started Jigging the 3/4 oz. Cotton Cordell Spoon and probably caught around 30 Spots around bait in 32 feet of water.
Been trying to deer hunt some, will switch over to fishing just as soon as its over, first week in January is the end I think

Twister in my county, but nothing like the terrible news story from down the road 50 miles. Your area experiences "hurricane fatigue" just like we get tornado-complacent up here, but when a real one gets close you remember why hiding is the best plan.
