new guy
hello y'all
i am loving this site. Haven't found anything to add yet and by searching i have found answers to most all my questions i have come across my mind.
I have been visiting that pier since i wasn't tall enough to see above the middle rail dang near! As it happens it wasn't until this past year that i managed to figure out some of the tricks and such to actually catch fish other than those catfish and remora... Y'all have a great site and lots of information on here that i am soaking up! I hope to make it down at least once or twice this spring/summer to put all that i have learned to use!
I didn't see a set newbie welcome spot so I figured this place would be a good welcome spot and ask this DIY question...
What is a good size/weight for a gaff and any tips on what to use? Any restrictions on them either?
Thanks in advance and look forward to coming down (from north MS) and fishing again soon!
