Out with the Old in with the New. It is time for a change.

It has been 14yrs since I wet a hook in fresh water and it is time to release the old moniker. I tagged myself with the "scbasser" handle over 20yrs ago and rode it hard through years of BASS and other tournament trails. But, alas, times they are a changing and I have been drawn in to the big pull and unknowns of salt water.
Over the last year, I have acquired a fondness for the rugged and dependable Penn Z series reels, so I paired it with a play on my last name to create my new screen name.
So, for the friends and soon to be friend that message me from time to time, please note the change.
And if you have any old Penn Z's laying around that need a new home, let me know. Or, if you have one that you would like to pair with a rebuilt vintage rod, we can talk about that too.

Not quite as old as me, but most are over 40...and still going strong! Ironically, the most expensive one was the smallest...$40 for a mint 714z, and it quickly became the chosen One. I caught 30+ 2-3lb Blues with this reel this October and had an absolute ball with every one of them!

That is a very nice and clean setup you have there.

Thanks J55 - I figured that since someone else had taken good care of these reels, I would follow suit. Travel can be rough on fishing gear.
I found a vintage Smasonite instrument case at a yard sale for $2, and scrapped up some foam and cut out the spaces. On the prowl for another one.
