Pier picnic
13 or 14 years ago we had an an annual pier picnic/dinner on the grounds or whatever we called it. I made a great big pot of jambalaya and many of the locals/regulars brought sundry items. Is that still a thing? If it is, I sure would like to know when so I can plan on bringing an even bigger pot of jambalaya and if it’s not, I sure would like to get it started back up. That was a nice day of fellowship with all our people. Any takers?
Fish. Just fish.

Before 2020 or 2021, when things got crazy, there were several references on this site to the traditional date being 1st Saturday in May. There were also references to planning being done on a pier Facebook group.
Of course there could always be more than one gathering/picnic at different times of the year for different groups since some people come and go from Alabama through the year.

Picnic
That date sounds about right. Before the hell days arrive. I’ll be happy to be 1st in with about 4 gallons of chicken/sausage jambalaya.
