Linda and I drove over to Pensacola last Friday to Crazy Cazboys and she wanted to drive out to the Pier there. I'm hoping by the number of Cranes on barges working on the bridges there we're not waiting on them to be finished to start on the Pier at GSP.

Tato: wood is not the problem. I'm told it's the permits their waiting for from FEMA/NOAA and the Army Corps of Engineers.

Just wondering why it took almost a year and a half to get started on repairs?

It is a multi faceted project.
And the way 'gubment' works is, one phase cannot begin until the previous is complete.
The 'good news' is we should be over halfway there ;-)
1. All hell breaks loose
2. assessment phase
3. plan phase
4. permitting phase
5. RFPs
6. Bids let
7. Actual construction phase
8. Reopen, rinse and repeat...
