I've been traveling Gulfshores for a few years. Honestly I've been disappointed in the selection of restaurants. Staying at Days Inn and looking for local opinions as far as food.

Fish river grill
Ruben and swamp soup is my favorite, don't eat out much but that is a have to 1or2 times can't comment on other meals do to lack of trying....love there Rubens and just enough to fill me up without being uncomfortable with fries included.....very reasonable priced....
Cricos for the all you can eat pizza daily special 11am to 3pm with salad and drink for 8.00, always some kind of pasta dish 5 or 6 pizzas to choose from..... usually if the fishing is slow that is my go to lunch if I want to treat myself other then what I pack for the pier....RIGHT down town by shrimp basket
Flippers at Bear Point Marina.
We have to do Doc’s Seafood twice (best fried shrimp in the world!) as well as Fish River.
Haven’t been to the new Doc’s yet on Gulf Blvd. I’m sure it is just as good as the original and much closer to 59 and Gulf.
+1 On Flippers at Bear Point. Save room for the ice cream.
It's worth the drive to go to the Roadkill Cafe in Elberta, but you need to get there before 12:30 because they only prepare a certain amount of food and when it's gone, you're outta luck. Delicious and VERY reasonably priced for an AYCE buffet. Drink and dessert included in price.
Go to Lartigues in OB and order a shrimp boil take out...
Pizza I love the lunch Buffet at Crico's in Gulf Shores I guarantee you won't go away hungry.
My vote as the best place to eat in gulf shores/Foley is David Lea and Jenifer place hands down !:D
You are correct. Those two can make a fine meal!
+1 on Flippers and Cricos. Taking your catch(cleaned) and letting Flippers blacken it is a fine meal. Best breakfast we have ever had is at Gulf Shores Diner. Best blackened shrimp is at Mikee's. Best fried shrimp-Shrimp Basket. Best firecracker shrimp-Cosmo's and Cobalt. Best sushi-Cosmo's. Best Buschwacker (and I don't drink-usually)-Shrimp Basket OBA. Best Mexican food-Cactus Cantina Gulf Shores. Best whole fried flounder-Original Oyster House. Best Salad bar-Original Oyster House. Best seafood plate to go-Rouse's Market steamed shrimp, corn and potatoes. Best donuts-Lickin Good in Gulf Shores. Best BBQ-Down South(shack behind the Shell station at County Road 10 and 59. The BBQ sandwich served at the little place on the pier is actually pretty good too.
10-4 on Down South's slab of ribs. Wife says it's too expensive but sometimes when I'm down get a slab for around $25 and makes 3 meals.
You didn't mention any Cajun places here. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I just realized that I was thinking of that newer place, The Drunkin Shrimp on the other side of the road, but I do like the Crazy Cajun also. whoops.
