more people killed with clubs and hammers then long guns in the past years....and assault weapons (ar's, sks's and ak47's) were considered rifles
According to FBI statistics, there were 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs in 2011, far more than the 323 murders committed with a rifle that yearBill..............

Speaking of assult weapons : 32,367 people were killed on the roadway in 2011 . Bet there will not be a push to BAN those assult weapons !
