Praise The Lord and pass the peas
Well, things are beginning to look up here in Oxford. Still got a few thousand in the outlying areas without power and or water but mostly it’s in the rear view mirror. Truth be told, we got our asses kicked. Parts of town that look like a Cat 3 or 4 came through. Lots and lots of firewood to be cut and split. I certainly didn’t come out unscathed. One of my tankless water heaters blew and if you know how much those rascals are…well…Had to hire an arborist to take down my Live Oak that split down the middle. I’ll tackle most trees with my trusty Stihl 261 but after about an hour of walking circles around it and cogitating on it, I decided to walk away from it. Had all the earmarks of getting billy sidewards. Still leaves me with a few to lay down. Could have been worse. PTL it wasn’t. See y’all end of March.
Fish. Just fish.

Forgot. Amazingly enough, price gouging was only a minor problem.
