Fishing had slowed with the reduced water temperature so I decided to pack up and head North to the cabin in Northern Wisconsin for a holiday visit with my kids. The first couple days were beautiful with mild temperatures and lots of snow clinging to the pines making for awesome scenery. However, yesterday was -4, and today it's -7 with windchill of -20 to -30. I'm tired of it already, so I'm packing up and coming home earlier than expected. Born and raised in the North, I didn't know how I'd get used to the Southern climate, but quickly discovered how I want to be back and on the pier.
