I figure some of you local guys and gals could give some insight as to what are the best places to eat at in gulf shores is. i love anything different not your normal run of the mill type restaurants. i can eat at longhorn, outback, taco bell, hardees anytime up here. gimme something different! lol
I don't know about Gulf Shores, but in Orange Beach you should try Zeke's and Doc's---they are quite different, but have great food.

Down South BBQ right behind the seafood market on 59
Mikees seafood is amazing and you have to try moes bbq
Bushwackers will fill you up .. I say the florabama
Cheeseburger and Bushwhacker.........Pirates Cove (must like dogs, which I do)
Barbeque crab claws and or sushi.......Cosmos
Barbeque Ribs and BBQ eggrolls..........Rib Shack
Fresh Fish/oysters, etc....................Tin Top or Fishermans Corner
Italian anything...............................Gelato Joes
Pizza............................................H appy Harbor (any location, but I think Marina Road is the best)
Anything and everything..................Bahama Bobs
That should about fill you up, lol. enjoy!

It is worth the drive into Mobile or stop on the way to or the way back from Gulf Shores.
There is a Wintzells in Orange Beach on the Beach Highway. It's good.
not sure if my spelling is correct but we always hit up lamberts in foley everytime we come down. Good food and great place!
DeSoto's is great
Hazels has some good breakfast
Always eat at the Shrimp Basket when we come down.
Love to get steamed seafood from Laritgues on the beach hwy and take it back to the camp Ground.
Just cruise through the restaurant parking lots and eat at the place with the most Baldwin County (5-) tags parked there!
If a lot is full of nothing but out of state tags, keep goin'

Grits and Gravy in Elberta across from elberta grocery open's early but some good breakfast
And O'Feelys irish pub in Elberta across from the dollar general live music every wednesday and saturday night
It's a bit off the beaten path, but Big Daddy's on Fish River has great burgers and seafood. Plus, it is casual and reasonable!

We shouldn't leave out Mama Lou's in Robertsdale or The Gift Horse in Foley. They are both different with excellent buffets---belt-buster sort of places. I can't often eat at Mama Lou's because the peach cobbler is way too good and I'm prone to founder myself and they have to carry me out in a wheelbarrow looking like an upside-down turtle with all four legs waving helplessly in the air. Yeah, it's embarrassing but totally worth it.
