That wave is almost 30 feet high!
9' storm surge up in Appalachicola Bay.
I was streaming Channel 13 out of PC until the winds hit 100 and they went off the air.
Cant imagine anything less than catastrophic damage in Port St. Joe, Appalachicola and the area just east of PC.
Brett Adair and his partner are storm chasers with Livestormstreaming.com They got pinned down in Mexico Beach as the storm surge moved in. Video is pretty intense. They are safe as reported by his wife, taking up shelter in a home. https://www.facebook.com/foxsananton...M5MTY1MDY2MTM/
That footage was insane after the 32 minute mark.
In just a few minutes the storm surge came across the road and was over the hood floating truck in 6 minutes!
Incredible to see it.
That video is insane, those guys are lucky to be alive.
I don't know what they got paid but it wasn't enough. Very very lucky to get out of that mess.....
In addition to a cash bonus the Station should buy them a new vehicle.
