Old Friends
I've been missing the pier with pain in my knee, making it an effort to get out there. Then a replacement knee that took time to heal that extended that time, but pier staff has been good to me. Now hip pain and need that replace this week. Hope to recover fast cause I'm missing my 2nd home. Got a chance to visit two of our pier family today. RamZ and his wife Tammy. Not only was it good to see them back, but was gifted an awesome custom rod RamZ makes. This guy has really turned out some awesome work. Need to make it out to the octi one more time before the knife Wednesday. Leave some for me...

Can you not get a power chair from what ever insurance you have. Would open up a lot of possibilities of things you could do.

Gave me a Walker and a cane. Only need for a few weeks, until I heal, then should be good to go again.

Hurry up and get well I know how tough you have probably been having. I'm not going to try to spell out the technical name for the problem with my heal but it sure hampered me the week following the picnic.

Navarre pier has a golf cart to run those with limited mobility out and back. It doesn't cure issues with standing to cast and fish.

I hope your surgeons are good with the knife and don't leave scars that will look bad when you wear your speedo. A couple of ladies have already been asking where you were now that the weather is warming up.
Your absence on the pier is notable. Hurry back. No pain.
Maybe this time they'll give you a cap with the hospital name on it.

We have a brand new power chair that we got for free with insurance last July. Leslie has never used it except to try it out in the house and did not like driving it. She literally is blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other and will never use it. I bought the carrier that goes in the trailer receiver. It doesn’t have big balloon tires so might be a very bumpy ride going out the pier. You are more than welcome to use it as long as you would like. Just have to have someone meet me half way, between Birmingham and Montgomery to pick it up.

Jim,
Very generous offer. I'm munna wait and see what happens after surgery. Im a little afraid I would become dependent on it and not use the hip like I should. Plus I'd probably run into people just learning to drive. Thanks friend and I'll let you know.
