After 13 months of unemployment, I got a job offer today.

Pending a successful background investigation, I will be going to work for the Defense Contract Audit Agency as a contract auditor at Ft Rucker. Sucks that I'm going to have to spit the family for a year but the good news is that my wife's company has two hospitals in the area - Dothan and Enterprise. And it's only about 6 hours from Rucker to Vicksburg.

Congrats! What's that gonna do to your fishing?

Probably curtail it for a while until I get my feet on the ground. But it's only about 3 hours from Rucker to GS

thank you. It's been a long year. For those of you still looking, keep at it. I sent out somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 applications and resumes all over the country. I had, I think, 5 interviews. I was told more than once by recruiters that they were having somewhere between 1800 and 2000 applications for every position. :cry: :wall:
