Lost Another One
Just saw on Facebook that our friend Doug West passed away yesterday on his birthday. Just found out a few days ago that he has been sick(do not know details, just what I gathered from past Facebook posts) for a little while. Always remembered seeing him with a smile on his face when I saw him. Rest easy my friend!

Thank you Justin (though I am shocked!)
I too remember Doug by his quick laugh and big grin.
He was a pleasure to share the rail with, and I pray to join him again on Heaven's Pier ;-)

Doug really like to fish for trout with his pal Harley...

It was Doug who came up with the term "Breakfast Club" to describe all the old guys who congregate on the pier every morning (eating donuts and drinking coffee while talking and fishing ;-)Last edited by Pier#r; 02-19-2017 at 08:40 AM.

I knew I hadn't been seeing him at the pier. Really nice guy. Always seemed happy and ready to help.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've spoke to him many times over the years. How's the rest of the Breakfast club members?

Hard to wrap my mind around this. Was wondering yesterday why the sheephead were around and hadn't seen Doug yet. I, with many others will miss ya my friend.

Didn't know him long but he would always exchange greetings with me along with needed advice if I asked. Prayers to the family.
