Caught back in March of 2018! Still tastes fine. Roscoe said it smelled good too. I highly recommend vacuum packing your fish for long term storage.

Vacuum sealing is the only way to go , That's a fine looking meal , Dog looks good to , I hope you shared a taste with him .
Food saver is good. Frozen in water with all air squeezed out of the bag is even better but takes up more room in the freezer.
We vowed to NEVER give him human food so he doesn't become a beggar. Not saying that last little red skin potato didn't "accidentally" roll off my plate!Quote:

I usually eat fish 3 to 5 times per week so on my trips to the salt I try to stock my freezer. I much prefer to eat fish I have caught and preserved than to buy fish. I normally have a month trip every fall and try to do a week or two in late spring. I also enjoy a wide variety of fish.
