Sheepshead classic southern recipe!
Well I know this is just good old souther fried fish but sheepshead fried is just too good to be true. I cut it across the fillet into strips and in a bowl add salt, pepper, lemon pepper and a little seasoned salt. Put in fridge for half hour while you get ready. First hush puppies just no need to get fancy. Chopped onion, chopped chives, cup corn meal, 2 tablespoons flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and buttermilk. I love to add jalapeños but tonight the kids promised they would eat hush puppies. Get the fish out and add buttermilk just enough to wet them all. For the fish get a gallon baggy and put about 2 cups corn meal, 1/4 cup flour, I used lots of salt and pepper (probably a teaspoon of each) but season to your liking. Add the fish to the Baggie and Shake well to cover all. Cook and enjoy!

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for an abundant fishery and a magnificent pier, from which to access that fishery. I'm thankful for the morning view of the sunrise and what a spectacular view it is...
Happy Thanksgiving!
