Advise for noob planning for fish this Thursday?

Hey all,

My father-in-law and brother-in-law are coming into town this week and I would like to take them fishing somewhere where we would have a good shot at catching something substantial. I have lived in Baldwin County for a year or two but am a newbie when it comes to saltwater fishing. A friend is letting me borrow some equipment. What is your recommendation for having a good shot at trying to catch something this Thursday (we plan to head out to fish at around 6 and stay out as long as necessary).

Looking for recommendations on bait, fishing location, etc...

Get in touch with Pier#r. Talk with him about what type fishing/ equipment you have and he will fix you up. You will get great information and have an experience that you and yours will remember for life.

Hiring Pier#r will increase your odds of catching fish by several orders of magnitude. Not just for this trip, but you'll learn things that will serve you well from now on.

IMHO your "good shot at trying to catch something" would be from the seawall at Perdido Pass or the GSPPier.
Fish with live shrimp on a small single hook (like a #6 or #8) and just enough weight to keep your bait down.
Sheepshead should be getting more cooperative this week and the weather for Thursday looks 'ideal'.
