Pack it.....you never know what mother nature has in store for the area....could be the best in years
wasn't it last year when the big tropical storm came through that people had about two days of great fishing for redfish from the surf...?
Think how you'd feel if a great bite turned on and you had no tackle. It'd make me mad enough to poke a hole in my little granddaughter's dolphin floatie thingy.
The fishing sure can't get a whole lot worse than it has been---lots of room for improvement.
I see Windfinder.com calls for 11 ft seas on Friday, and rough through the weekend.

Kings love rough weather!
Line shyness and terminal tackle shyness is the major reason for little or no bites. Rough seas mean they can't see as well - they still have to eat.
On the bright side, a tropical storm/hurricane should help mix the water and prevent or lessen the effects of a dead zone. It's in the perfect location for that at the mouth of the Mississippi.
Well they are gonna get PLENTY of it based on the current forecast!!!
