Any tips for September inshore trip?

Hello Pier Rats and other saltwater life people. You can call me Jag (just another goog). I and about 5 of my buddies are coming for a short fishing trip (Sept 23-27) and need any tips you may give. We've all been freshwater fishermen and have been on a few charter trips. I have spent a few days with Jeff on the pier, but other than that we don't know a lot. We will be staying in a house on the bay off of Marina Drive at the mouth of Cotton Bayou. We will have one small boat. I hope the flounder and specks have moved up into the bay by then. We'll be looking for flounder, trout, reds, whiting, sheepheads, black drums, crabs, and anything else we can fit in the pot. I've also told them they need to spend at least one day on the pier. I know a couple of them that might get hooked on that. Any suggestions offered would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -- Jag.
