Last year I was thinking about catching some blue crabs in Little Lagoon after seeing a bunch of them, but I have no way of transporting traps back and forth from TN. Does anyone in the area rent them?
I'd love to give it a shot in a couple weeks!

You can buy crab traps for pretty cheap at Bass Pro and other places, talking $10-$20.
And they sell collapsible traps, easy to transport.
I prefer to simply wade and dip net them, long handled dip net and a good light, and you're set.
I've a plastic kiddie pool I tow behind me for throwing crabs in, I also keep a flounder gig in it for whenever I spot one.
You ever cast a jig to a flounder you spotted with the light and catch it?
Nope, they don't do much much but flop a bit after you stick a gig in'em

I agree with Chile, I bought some from BassPro and they fold up really small. So small in fact I forgot to take them with me when I went down there!
Nope, not his work.
Thanks, Chile. I had no idea they were so affordable. I ended up ordering a collapsible net one that can double as a pier net. Kills 2 birds with one stone, since I've only had a snag hook for a gaff and have heard some scary stories about using those ! :)
