$100 for 1 night of fishing is insane, especially when people can drive down to navarre and catch sharks for the price of a pier pass, i dont see anyone paying for the permit

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

No. You cannot fish for sharks anywhere on the beach in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. Big fine.
Only from a boat.
You aren't supposed to do any kind of fishing from shore within 100 yards of the pier---or from a boat for that matter.
