I like the NOAA weather forecasts, and find their radar most accurate.
There is no 'Best', and the forecasts are all just semi-educated guess work.
I look at three or four forecasts, check NOAA's radar and get a general idea of what to expect.
60-80% chance of T-Storms does not mean stay home, it means go fishing and I might... Might watch a storm or two blow past.
The best thing to have is a smart-phone with a good weather radar app, so you can see the storms, their speed, paths and intensity.
I may not live in Gulf Shores but I have come to know (and trust) the National Weather Service Mobile for reliable, accurate and comprehensive weather forecasts and current conditions.
Did you know that ALL competing weather services (including NWS) get their data from NOAA?
But how this information is disseminated to the public is what gives the impression (and sometimes observation) of differing forecasts.
The NWS updates and issues their forecasts every 6 hours (4 times daily) which are released at 4am, 10am, 4pm and 10pm EVERY day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.
It is the largest, most comprehensive and reliable weather information gathering and forecasting group on the planet.
Why anyone would trust another entity is beyond me!
