Unless regulations have changed all you need to bowfish is a valid fishing license.
It would be a good idea to check with the appropriate folkses who do the regulatin' though ;-)

I made a homemade speargun out of PVC and surgical tubing. brought it out to the beach to try it out and it worked good. I got a small stingray that was lying in the sandbar. That was fun and if the visibility was better i probably would have gotten more
That's pretty cool. It's amazing what you can do with PVC. I know a lot of guys are making recurve bows out of the PVC. I'll have to bring the bow with me see of I can get some string rays or flounders.Quote:
