thinking of making gulf shores our aug vacation spot.Wife and girls interested in "fun stuff" while others and I want to fish. Am interested in any help getting started on surf, pier, chartered inshore and off shore fishing. Would even be willing to fill someones boat with fuel buy meals etc to get to go out (myself and 1-4 kids). if you know of a great place to stay yell back, im checking hotels and condos now. week of aug 10-15
I'll be down there the same week. Check the state park cabins. Fully furnished on Lake Shelby and a 3 bed 2 bath runs about 1350 for 7 nights.

2nd on the vrbo.com Sugar Beach in Orange Beach. 5 min from pier. 3 pools and kiddie pool. Not the newest or the biggest but nice and you can get a 3 bedroom that week for as low as $660. What bodebum said on the search feature. Look at 1 year ago's posts for that time.
Gulf Shores Surf and Racquet Club has pretty good rates then. A nice pool area that the family will enjoy. Beach across the road. Two lighted piers that sometimes produce very late at night. Check VRBO for listings as well as major realtors in the area.
