Never tried silicone, but have filled 1/4th with standard BBs. Makes a heck of a rattle when retrieved.

Filled a bubble with silicone, the tube said clear, but what I got was white. Anyway, it went into the bubble easily enough, I just drilled an 1/8th inch hole into the tip of the caulk tube, and squirted it in. Oh, and I twisted up a tiny scrap of paper to plug the tube so that silicone wouldn't get in. Will be doing this again with clear silicone soon, though around here I'm sure the white will work (for stripers) too.http://www.gulfshorespierfishing.com...tid=5780&stc=1
it's approximately 3/4 filled. it just looks full because the caulk smeared around inside the bubble. Just hope the caulk doesn't take forever to cure in a sealed environment.
It will go clear as it cures, but that may take a long time inside a bubble.
I've used other silicones that started clear and dried clear. Wonder what the difference is? I just grabbed the cheapest tube on the shelf today.
