Caution with catfish- Freshwater vs Saltwater
Okay so since I'm usually fishing with lures in saltwater, I have yet to catch any catfish (my first experience fishing shrimp ended with two stingrays). So everyone in freshwater knows to be cautious with cats (particularly the small ones), but I've never been afraid of them, while there seems to be a stigma about how dangerous saltwater cats are. So what's the deal? Is the sting more painful? Is the problem the bacteria? Or is it that they saltwater cats thrash around more and pose more of a threat? I hear that gaftopsail cats are good to eat. Are they worth the hassle? The hats the deal?
