Good rod for Shimano Stradic 5000?
Picked up a Stradic 5000 at tackle shop. I plan on using it for pier fishing and maybe out on the jetty.
What would be a good mid price range rod to put it on? Would plan on using it for casting gotcha's, bubble rigs, and the like for spanish, reds, trout, etc.

For jetty, I'd suggest a 7 or 8' rod with decent backbone and not too heavy. Cheaper ones could be Berkley big game (8' less than $20, up to 30 lb line I believe for MH), or Ugly stik gx2 7' MH. Personally, I'd go with a Ugly Tiger Elite 7 H.

If you want longer cast distance, there's 10' Daiwa Emcast surf 2pc that's pretty good. Light and strong. I like mine.
