Hopefully, fishing will be so good at the pier the last of April that you won't "catch" me fishing the surf.

You can catch the same stuff at the pier that you would in the surf along with maybe a few Spanish, Kings, sheepshead and flounder. I like surf fishing but at the pier there are restrooms, a bait shop, and refreshments. You don't have to contend with sand in you equipment or nether regions and very cold water. God willing I will be there drowning shrimp, bull minnows, and my new artificial that sheepshead find irresistable.
Good tip Tom! These two big fellas were screaming like girls when that happened to them last week... LOL
A Spadefish safety tip!
