Get you some live croakers or pinfish and go to the bar when the tide is going out and start drifting in the edge of the ship channel. You will be drifting southeast to east. Use a carolina rig with about three once egg weight to keep your croaker on the bottom and hang on! Bull redfish! You also need around a 30 lb. mono leader about three ft. long. These reds will run from 12- 30 lbs. Just try your drifts in various spots untill you find them. Sometimes it is hard to stay out of the blacktip sharks and the reds usually take my bait before I drift up on the bar. It's sort of ashame to keep these fish because they are the brood fish and after you cut all the bloodline out, there's not a lot of good meat left. Anyway one can't keep but one 26" and over. We usually go load up on the whitetrout, try the specks and flounder to eat and go after the bull reds for fun! Good luck!
