I need some pier rat knowledge!!!!
Good morning forum!! I would love for one of you guys to shed some light on what me and my son may catch from the pier down there. We are heading down Oct 9th. We have never been there in the fall. Was wondering what usually bites in the fall. We always stay at four seasons in orange beach and always catch fish from it's smaller pier. And we usually make a trip or two to GSP. We love catching flounder. If any of you could tell me what the normal surf catch is during this time of year me and my 12 year old son would appreciate it. Thank you!!

On the pier:

In the surf: baby jacks early in the month, then mostly whiting/ground mullet, flounder, redfish and bluefish can be expected.
Hope this helps!(RETIRED) mostly.

Check today's post. Kings, bluefish, Bonita and Spanish and I expect it will be similar next week if the water doesn't cool off too much.
Good Fishing everyone...
