First trip to gulf shores and was wondering what's biting? Wanting to fish 2nd-8th

What's in season and what are they biting on... Thanks for the help guys. I have been a freshwater fisherman my whole life but this will be my first time fishing saltwater...

Welcome to the forum. Check out the pier reports section. If there are no recent reports, it means that the weather has been bad, the fishing has been bad or the people who are catching fish are illiterate. Folks are pretty good about posting their daily reports, but there are those who recoil from the printed word as from a banded serpent.

Good fishing. Go by J&M Tackle and have them rig you up for sheepshead fishing---your freshwater bass tackle will work great for that.

Live shrimp will be your best bet.
The folks @ J&M will show you how to rig up your freshwater outfit.
There are usually some helpful people on the pier to emulate and befriend (some even bring donuts ;-)
And help you land your catch IF it's big one! (even if most of them don't internet ;-) lol

Good luck and welcome to the forum...
