Fish Finder's
Just interested if it'll be beneficial to install a fish finder on my kayak for the lagoon. I'd like to use it to locate structure and drop offs but I do not want to break the bank. Color or black and white is fine for the display and one that shows actually arches on the 2D rather than animated fish. Having 3D and DSI would also be very beneficial. A GPS is not a necessity as I don't veer far out and can find the structure in conjunction to the landscape. It would need to read in shallow water all if possible. Just seeing if It is worth it to install in on my kayak or just fish my normal pattern. Thanks !

I bough a Lowrance Elite 3X for my kayak and it is perfect. Got it for $100 on Amazon so price point is good as well.

That's one I've been keeping my sights on. Is your transducer installed in your hull or do you have yours via scupper hole? And how does it do in this shallow lagoon water for ya?

My kayak had a spot already molded on the bottom of the hull to place the skimmer. As long as the water is more than 2ft deep or more you're good. Very clear picture.
