Just wanted to thanks Iornman for the jigs. They look great and I guarantee I'll put them to the test! No doubt in my mind, they'll catch em!! Very nice work Bill. Thank you again!

Those big jigs looked really :headbang:
and I can attest for the fish catching ability of the "Ironman Spanish Jig" :fishing:

Thanks Pier#r too....I was impressed with the powder paint for it's durability to teeth
oke:....just wish the net boats weren't out there depleting the spanish stock..... so you could be filling the freezer for the winter, before there gone till spring

Yes, the paint holds up VERY well to the teeth, no chipping or flaking.
I'm glad there are other fish that eat them when the spanish are gone.
Bluefish like them too, and they sink fast enough to get back to the bottom in a hurry. :headbang:
They are especially bad about chewing the hair and threads that hold them together, but NOT on this jig! :yippee:

Honestly, I am not sure Tom. But your speculation has merit as recent rains would have brought an influx of nutrients into eastern LL and a subsequent increase in macroscopic life feeding on that...
Rain/Red minnows shortage this...
