Fishing the in the Fall Months

Just had a couple of questions for you all who care to answer. I usually dont fish much in the fall due to planting green fields, dove hunting, and then deer hunting in October but this year I plan on doing alot of fishing and letting others do some work planting for a change. When, or how long, can I expect to catch specks, flounder, and redfish on the pier. I know they migrate off eventually, but I just dont know much about it there at the pier. Also, do baits of choice change with the seasons, or do the same things continue to work well. I really know very little about the reds, but enjoy catching/eating them and plan to try fishing for them when the trout disappear. Ive heard they hang around later, but I dont know? I hope this fall is on fire, when I get there and the big spanish make a show, before they head south with most of the rest....will be putting bow hunting on hold for a time, but should be home for the rut, then gun week

Depends on the weather and how fast the water temps drop.
Cant really say myself cause by mid-November, my attention is 100% on duck season.

The inshore fish don't really move far away and are occasionally caught throughout the cooler months.

Thanks for the info, Deer season occupies my time after late October but I am gonna fish a little till more till then this year. Was coming down this weekend until the weatherman scared me off. Cost too much to come down to watch it pour down rain!

Where is home? Our bow season comes in Oct 15th, Gun November 18-20ish and runs till Jan 31st. Used to be nice till they decided everyone wanted to trophy hunt and put a 3 buck limit in for the year. January is our rut here.

First of all your posting is fine! I have only been posting for a month or so myself. I don't know much about the mentioned fish off the pier but there are numerous places you can fish and have a blast catching the same fish. Just another option if you want a change of pace from pier. There are numerous shore areas, back waters that are all fairly easily accessible and with the right bait...bamm! fish for dinner! You can ask just about anyone that doesn't have that private honeyhole that will share info...just ask..
