wet wading in January?
Is it too cold to wet wade while surf fishing in January. Flying down and don't have enough room for my waders and boots.

if you wear shorts while ice fishing, you'll be OK
I brought mine down in October....but more for protection from the jelly fish while gigging the beachBill..............

Thanks for the replies. I can't wait to catch some fish!! Looking for locations to fish from shore. Can you catch any blue crabs in January?

Blue crabs are gone from the surf until next summer.
There may be a few in the InterCoastal Waterway (ICW) and Little Lagoon.
They are not very active in 50-55 degree water so don't expect many.
You might want to buy some inexpensive waders ($50) after you get down...

You can get some blue balls if you wade out that time of year.

I think I'll stay out of the water. Thanks....
