Hey people, I'm new here and looking for some advice. The family and I will be vacationing on Fort Morgan road in a couple of weeks. My 4 year old son is really looking forward to catching some good eating fish. I know there is a pier down toward the fort. Is it pretty productive? And if so, what's the best bet? We have no boat so will be fishing from the shore. Would love to catch some trout, redfish, flounder or maybe even sheepshead. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
If you're going to be down by ft morgan I would go to the tip and fish towards dixie bar. Youll probably catch fish off the pier but i think the fishing is usually better off the point. Use the search bar and look for dixie bar or fort morgan fishing it really helps
+1 on the dixie bar. It is a long walk for a 4 yr old though. As of tomorrow fort morgan pier will be closed. But you can go to fort morgan marina and fish off the docks. I have had a lot of success in fishing there. Or fish on the beach
Thanks for the tips. I may take the kiddo to the marina to fish and try Dixie bar when I have some time to myself. I grew up in Daphne and have some fond but fuzzy memories fishing down there with my dad. Looking forward to making some memories of my own with my young'n. Thanks again!
