All I can tell you for sure is there are more than one sign that says no shark fishing. I believe AL has a rule no shark be brought on the pier at all the piers. In Fl ( Navarre ) I have seen many on the pier.
I have been several times at Gulf Shores and four seasons both that if you throw something in the water you are going to catch a shark.
Just left Four seasons not many weeks a go and it was so bad you could not fish the end of the pier so I was casting close to shore and I caught a shark at least 8'. I ended up at the end of the pier and was wondering of I could stop it before I lost 400 yards of braid. A girl and her Father came out after seeing me from their condo. I gave my rod to the girl her and her Father fought it for 45 min. Now the waves were 5'. so that helped in the shark s favor. They got a picture ot two and a good memory.
I thought I replied but I don't see it. All I know is there are a couple of signs that say NO SHARK FISHING. fishing rights may be taken away. Pretty sure you can't bring a shark on any pier in AL legally like you can in FL.
Four Seasons Condo POA owns the pier, they can make any rule the POA members agree to.
Funny I am prety sure I have never fished the Four Seasons pier without catching a shark. I was there Late May this year and hooked several spinners. Like I said earlier, brought some big ones to the pier. Most afternoons you could see 4/5' sharks every where. This is a poor pic but this is a night pic of about a 5' shark of some kind.

Just thought about something. Will we need Pier and Saltwater license to fish off the pier at Four Seasons. Didnt know if it was like the State Park Pier.
Just one or the other.
