Freeze dried cigar minnows

I wonder how good freeze dried/freezer burned cigar minnows will work. I have four boxes left over from last season, one of them is from last April. I sure do hope I don't have to carry them over any longer---every time my wife has to move them out of the way to get to something else in the freezer, I get a "What's the use?" stare.

If I soak the dried ones, will they work? Will Haywire learn to be a proficient snobbler? Stay tuned as more of the mystery is revealed.

can't be any worse then some from walmart I had to get in the past....they sure weren't that good once thawed ....I came to enjoy soaking live bait

Could always try brining them to toughen them up when you thaw them. Use a heavily salted brine, much saltier than if you were brining a turkey to eat.

And if brining doesn't make them durable enough to fish with you can save some money on canned sardines next trip to the woods!
