Good ice box...other than a YETI.

Any suggestions out there on a good ice box for fishing other than the high dollar YETI. I'm sure they are worth the money, I just can't bring my self to spending $200+ on an ice box. Are there any undiscovered knock offs that are comparable or maybe just a good igloo. I am going to build a fishing cart based on the cooler size, so I gotta get it first. Needs to be big enough to hold a good days catch of flounder, Spanish, etc. No wheels either. I'm thinking about just going with a 5-day Igloo Marine Ultra I found at Walmart, but wanted others input before I purchase. Thanks for any advice!

I've always used igloo myself and never had much problems with them, I'd go with the igloo

Yetis are nice I have a 105, but given the price difference the igloo stuff is very good just not as durable so don't run over it with your truck or let a bear get a hold of it

I've had the same Igloo cooler for 20 years, still works fine. I like their hinges better than Colemans'.

I use a 48 quart with my cart but I wish I had one bigger.

Coleman Marine Extreme they have stainless hinges the igloo from walmart has plastic hinge

JohnG can answer that - he was telling me about it in the store one day. Love the yetti but it is SO dang heavy and is very high on the wish list of thieves. Let us know if you learn anything

I am using a 68qt Igloo I bought at a hardware store on DIP in the early '80x on the way to the island. I remembered I had forgotten to load my cooler in the boat and didn't want to go back home to west Mobile to get it.
It ain't purrty, but it still does the job for me. :cool:

Get a marine 120. Size is your best friend when it comes to cold and everything associated with it.

One more vote for Igloos here. The Colemans keep ice just as well, but I agree about the hinges, although replacements are easy to get.
