I wonder how many people have already made plans and must continue to catch their red snapper come hell or high water?

I think trying to snapper fish this weekend will be Hell AND high water.

I've looked them over pretty closely and there are no pearls inside of red snapper and the don't have gold teeth. Until they do I'd suggest sitting this one out...

And with the catch numbers from what I’ve heard being down,…and this weekend a bust….
Might we see an extension of the snapper season?

Saturday

Tropical storm conditions expected. South winds around 35 knots diminishing to 30 to 35 knots. Gusts up to 45 knots. Seas 15 to 17 feet. Showers and chance of thunderstorms.

Once the water level and wave heights exceed 15 feet above sea level, displacement and damage can occur due to the pier panels being moved. Very similar forecast situation to TS Cristobol last year...

And last night, it rained like CRAZY! Man, did it pour down. After the tropical storm blew through the other day, messing up the water, more muddy water flowing in from Mobile Bay and creeks and rivers won't help clear the water as soon as we'd like. I'm going to give things another couple of days, likely, before I venture out again. Maybe the "June Grass" got pushed onto shore and out of the surf zone? That would be great!
