Jigging for them can be fun (or BORING)
and fishing a set line for them is ALWAYS BORING ;-)
but I've caught most of mine over the years free drifting or floating medium to small live shrimp.
ok thanks what kind of rig would i use to float them? A small cork and also do i need a leader? and What is the best time of year for pompanoQuote:

No leader, just tie straight on to the hook (small treble or #6 Kahle) and use a 2" styrofoam float pinned 4'-6' deep.Quote:

Im kind of like DD, I profile the dummy ones. Usually a by-catch while I'm fishing for something else. They will tear up ghost shrimp during early spring.
