Surf or Jetty Fishing
What are the best artificial lures for surf and jetty fishing? I plan to fish later this month.

The best lure is the one fish will bite ;-) lol
Since we never know exactly what that is, I try to bring a few of the 'major players'.
Topwaters (Skitterwalk, Zara Spook, etc) for trout, blues, ladyfish
Suspending Stik baits (MirrOlure, etc) for the same + redfish
Soft plastics (4" Zoom Fluke or Fin-s) usually on a 1/4 ounce jig head
(all the above fish + mackerel)
May need 1/8 in shallow water or 3/8 in deep water or windy days
Also use with Gulp Shrimp (3") mostly for flounder
Jigs: (Looney for spanish, also Speck Rig)
Conner's Jig & Silly Willy for pompano.
Hope this helps!
BTW bring some 30# and 40# clear mono for leaders because the mackerel, blues, and ladyfish will bite or break light line (and needle nosed pliers for getting the hook out ;-)(RETIRED) mostly.
