Little lagoon and the pass question
I'm in town for a week fished the pier some but want to try different places. Thinking about the pass on little lagoon. If you were going there what would you target. Hoping to catch some good eating fish for a fish fry. What baits would you use to catch fish in the pass.

Depends on your mobility..if you have a boat - anchor up on the flats on the lagoon side during the falling tide - red head 3/8 oz jigs with gulp 3"white or new penny shrimp. You can wade out - but try to dodge the thousands of jelly's making their way out to the gulf.
If you fish from the surf - also on falling tides, throw pink, white or pink/orange pompano jigs tipped with a half inch strip of white fish bites. I have caught flounder, pomp's and slot reds fishing the jigs in the surf. USE 18"-24" FLOUROCARBON LEADER tied directly to the jig. The water is clear and the fish can be line shy.
Live shrimp are always a favorite, but pinfish will hurt the wallet.Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.
