Hi, my family is coming to visit MID November 2016 (next month). We're staying on lagoon side in Gulf Shores. We'll have a pier/dock to fish from. I'm curious on if anyone has advise for me? I'd like to know what the best tackle set up? bait suggestions for that type of year. Thanks. PS. Do I need a license? If so what kind if it's only for a couple of days.

Yes for the license, fresh dead shrimp (peeled tail) carolina rigged 1/0 or smaller hook, for flounder I like a kahle hook or whole live shrimp......then use as they die for the fresh dead......don't leave your rod unattended (in your hands) if you want to keep it.....try under the lights at night too....shrimp under a float, or swimming natural

Owner SSW 1/0 or 2/0 hook for flounder. Razor sharp and perfect size for their small mouth, you won't have to wait as long for them to eat the bait as you do with a kahle hook.
While I have a good friend who will sharpen my fillet knives for me if I ask him, I hate to constantly impose on him, because, you know, I'd like for him to stay my friend! I took my knives, just the...
