Pflueger President
So, I currently have a Pflueger President, I am wondering if I should take that to surf fish when I come down. Or, should I upgrade to a Penn Fierce II? Keep in mind I will be using it for surf fishing not pier fishing, that is why I'm asking.
Go Vols, I don't mind Nick Saban, but Lane Kiffin just bends the rod too much.

It'll work. Just rinse it off really good when you're done.

My wife kids all use Pflueger President reels/ rods fishing from the beach. ( Found 4 combos for $30 each at a liquidation outlet when we first moved down ) We have bigger setups for targeting bigger fish but we've landed several nice reds, black drum on them. The med/light set up is a ton of fun with spanish, specs, pomps and flounder . YES - rinse and wipe down as soon as possible after use.

I would avoid getting it dunked by a wave if possible. I've gotten water inside a reel and found out which parts weren't corrosion resistant.

Good tip Tom! These two big fellas were screaming like girls when that happened to them last week... LOL
A Spadefish safety tip!
