I will be down in a couple of weeks for vacation. I hope the fishing is better for us this year than last.
My question is about the ribbon nets that folks were using on rods and reels to catch bait fish. Are those considered gill nets and are they legal to use on the pier?:confused:
On the gulf shores pier yes they are legal, but on any of the florida piers they are illegal.
No, and yes (in Alabama at least ;-)
Rather silly isn't it???? As if a reasonable person cannot discern between a 1,000' long gill net catching hundreds of pounds of fish and a 1' ribbon rig used to catch LY's......Quote:
